Rehab India Foundation

Success stories is a web series produced by Empower India Foundation to highlight the achievements of various NGO’s, institutions and organisations working for the empowerment and upliftment the weaker sections of the society across the length and breadth of the country.

In this episode, we are introducing Rehab India Foundation who works to rehabilitate the marginalised section of Rural India with a better standard of living by the channelling the building rocks of a just society i.e. Education, Health, Economic Development and Environment.

Their journey started with the adoption 51 families in a riot hit village in Assam where they started building houses for the people of the village, leading to their complete rehabilitation in May, 2011. With the success of their first Rehab Model Village, they continued further with the adoption of 60 villages in the part of Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. Today, Rehab runs a full-fledged Village Development Programme that runs for 5 years for the village adopted along with important short-term programmes.
