EIF condoles the demise of Maulana Wali Rahmani

Empower India Foundation Chairman E M Abdul Rahiman has conveyed heartfelt condolences at the sudden and sad demise of Moulana Muhammed Wali Rahmani who is the Advisory Board Chairman of EIF.
The Indian Muslims have lost a great visionary and a brave leader who has been in the forefront of various initiatives and projects aimed at the empowerment of Muslim community. Maulana was a great scholar, educationist and above all a spiriural leader with clear political vision. His leadership role was not just confined as the general secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board which is the representative apex umbrella body of Indian Muslims.
A man of great aspirations for harmony and unity, Maulana had taken several efforts in various capacities to ensure communal harmony and unity in the country. He was also in the forefront of all democratic and legal struggles for Muslim community like Islamic Sharia and Babri Masjid.
Empower India Foundation had been privileged with his involvement from the very beginning of its mission. It was Moulana who had presided over the National Conclave held by Empower India Foundation in which the Empower India Foundation flagship Project Document, ‘India 2047: Empowering the People’ was released by Justice Rajinder Sachar. I remember with gratitude that Maulana has recently given his consent to continue as the Chairman of the reconstituted Advisory Board for another term. But EIF is unfortunate that he passed away at a time when his guidance is highly needed for moving forward with our mission.
May Allah enter him in paradise, and provide his family, friends, colleagues and disciples the strength and patience to overcome the grief and vacuum resulting from his bereavement.
